The TIGGO8 CSH premium SUV features CHERY’s exclusive plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology – the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH). The 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine produces 143 horsepower and 215 Nm of torque. It works in conjunction with a hybrid system equipped with a high-output electric motor producing 358 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, resulting in a combined output of 501 horsepower and 735 Nm of torque. This enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. It can drive in all-electric mode for a maximum range of 95 kilometers (NEDC), and has a combined driving range of up to 1,200 kilometers.
The CSH plug-in hybrid system is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that supports AC charging from 10% to 100% in approximately 8.5 hours and DC charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes. It also features a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system that supplies power from the battery to other electrical appliances with a maximum power output of 3.3 kW.
CHERY further ensures the TIGGO8 CSH’s battery protection with an underbody protection plate made from 0.8 mm thick special steel. It features an automatic power cut-off system in just 2 milliseconds. It is dust- and water-resistant certified by an IP68 rating. It can wade through water depths of up to 300 mm and operate in temperatures ranging from -35°C to 60°C, thanks to CSH technology. It also passed a seawater immersion test for over 50 hours during the Global Safety Challenge activity in Indonesia. No damage was found.
