ยูดี ทรัคส์ ประเทศไทย ร่วมกับศูนย์บริการธนะดี ออโต้ ทรัคฯ จังหวัดเชียงราย สานต่อกิจกรรมฝึกอบรมปลูกฝังความปลอดภัยในการใช้ถนนร่วมกับรถบรรทุก ภายใต้โครงการ “UD Road Safety for Children” ณ โรงเรียนชุมชนดอยช้าง จังหวัดเชียงราย
โดยในวันงาน ทางยูดี ทรัคส์ ได้มีอาจารย์ผู้ฝึกสอนการขับขี่รถบรรทุก มาให้ความรู้ สร้างความเข้าใจ รวมทั้งยังให้เด็กๆในจำลองสถานการณ์จริง หากต้องเข้าใกล้ หรือต้องขับขี่รถจักรยานยนต์ร่วมถนนกับรถบรรทุก เพื่อลดความเสี่ยงในการเกิดอุบัติเหตุบนท้องถนน มีเด็กนักเรียนจากโรงเรียนร่วมกิจกรรมกว่า 150 คน
นอกจากนี้ ทางยูดี ทรัคส์ และศูนย์บริการธนะดี ออโต้ ทรัคฯ จังหวัดเชียงราย ยังได้ร่วมกันมอบสิ่งของเครื่องอุปโภคบริโภค อาทิเช่น ผ้าห่ม ชุดระบายสี ไอศครีม และมอบทุนร่วมสนับสนุนกิจกรรมวิ่งการกุศล เพื่อซื้อเครื่องกรองน้ำ และสร้างสาธารนูปโภคให้กับโรงเรียนและชุมชม
นางสาวนริศรา คุ้มไข่น้ำ รองประธานฝ่ายขายพื้นที่ภาคเหนือและภาคกลาง และหัวหน้าฝ่ายการตลาด บริษัท ยูดี ทรัคส์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด กล่าวว่า “สำหรับกิจกรรมนี้เราได้ร่วมมือกับศูนย์บริการธนดีฯ ตัวแทนดีลเลอร์ จังหวัดเชียงราย เป็นการสานต่อกิจกรรมตอบแทนสังคมซึ่งที่ยูดี ทรัคส์ เราให้ความสำคัญเพื่อเป็นการแนะนำ และสร้างความตะหนักรู้ถึงจุดบอด หรือมุมอับ ข้อควรระวังขณะใช้ถนนร่วมกับรถบรรทุก เพื่อความปลอดภัยต่อต่อเด็ก เยาวชน และชุมชน ซึ่งเป็นไปตามเป้าหมายการดำเนินธุรกิจของบริษัทฯ ‘Better Life’ ที่เราตั้งเป้าหมายในการสร้างความยั่งยืนสู่ระบบโลจิสติกส์ ธุรกิจงานขนส่ง ผู้คน และโลกใบนี้ และนอกจากที่นี่แล้ว เรายังมีแผนที่จะทำกิจกรรมตอบแทนสังคมในภูมิภาคอื่นๆอีกภายในปีนี้”
สำหรับโรงเรียนชุมชนดอยช้างตั้งอยู่ ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร ตำบลวาวี อำเภอแม่ จังหวัดเชียงราย ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนภูเขาสูงประมาณ 1,200 เมตร จากระดับน้ำทะเล นักเรียนเป็นชาวไทยภูเขา ประกอบด้วยชนเผ่าอาช่า ลีซู ไทยใหญ่ และจีนยูนนาน จำนวนรวมกว่า 670 คน โดยเปิดสอน 3 ระดับชั้น ประกอบด้วย ระดับการศึกษาปฐมวัย ระดับประถมศึกษา และ ระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น
UD Trucks Thailand has bolstered its road safety program for children at remote school in Chiang Rai
Recently, UD Trucks Thailand, in collaboration with Tanadee dealership in Chiang Rai, continued a road safety training program for children under the “UD Road Safety for Children” project at Chumchon Doi Chang School, Chiang Rai which lies in upper northern Thailand, and which is Thailand’s northernmost province.
During the event, UD Trucks provided truck driving instructors to impart knowledge, enhance understanding, and simulate real-life situations for children. This was to prepare them for scenarios where they may need to approach or ride motorcycles alongside trucks, aiming to reduce the risk of accidents on the road. More than 150 students from various schools participated in the activity.
Additionally, UD Trucks and Tanadee dealership jointly donated consumable items such as blankets, coloring sheets, stationery, ice cream, and contributed funds to support the charity running event. These funds will be used to purchase water purifiers and construct public facilities for the school and community.
Ms. Narissara Kumkhainum, General Manager for Northern and Central regions and Head of Marketing, UD Trucks Corporation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said, “For this activity, we collaborated with our dealer representative in Chiang Rai, Tanadee, as part of our corporate social responsibility initiative. At UD Trucks, we emphasize the importance of promoting road safety awareness and addressing truck blind spots and potential risks when sharing the road with trucks. This aligns with our company’s purpose ‘Better Life’, aiming to be a leader in sustainability across logistics, transportation businesses, people, and the planet. In addition to here, we also have plans to conduct social responsibility activities in other regions this year.”
Chumchon Doi Chang School is situated in a remote area, Wawi Subdistrict, Mae Suai District, Chiang Rai, approximately 1200 meters above sea level. The school caters to Thai hill tribe students, including Akha, Lisu, Tai Yai, and Yunan Chinese, totaling over 670 students. Including teaching in 3 levels: kindergarten, primary school, and junior high school.
