Former world number one Lydia Ko and a lineup of 72 top golfers from the LPGA Tour are competing for a total prize pool of $1.8 million (approximately 60 million baht). Adding to the excitement are special hole-in-one prizes: a Honda GoldWing motorcycle worth 1,355,000 baht at hole 8, and a new Honda CR-V e:HEV car at hole 16.
The e:HEV RS model with the Modulo styling package is valued at 1,863,220 baht.

Interest from sports fans is soaring as Gino-Attaya Thitikul prepares to compete as the first Thai golfer to play at home while holding the world number one ranking, marking a historic achievement in the 19th Honda LPGA Thailand tournament. This comes after her impressive 2025 season, including three LPGA victories: the Mizuho Americas Open, the Buick LPGA Shanghai, and the CME Group Tour Championship (her second consecutive win). She also received the Rolex Player of the Year 2025 award and set a new record by winning the Vare Trophy (lowest average score on the tour) with an average score of 68.681, breaking the previous record held by former world number one Annika Sörenstam of Sweden. She said that returning to play in front of Thai golf fans was a “special” feeling, and winning her first LPGA championship at home would be especially special.
Dr. Nittiya Kerdchantuk, Director of the Professional Sports Commission Office of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), stated that:
“The Honda LPGA Thailand is a key model for elevating golf in many dimensions. In addition to various youth development pilot projects, the success of two Thai golfers, Ariya Jutanugarn and Atthaya Thitikul, who have reached world number one, serves as an example and inspiration for developing sports personnel. The list of Thai golfers who will be creating excitement at this year’s competition includes: May-Ariya Jutanugarn, former world number one and 2021 champion, currently ranked 22nd in the world; Pajaree Anunarukan, ranked 54th and runner-up in the 2025 CME Group Tour Championship; Praw-Chanetee Wannasen, ranked 55th; and April-Chanoknan Angkurasreni, winner of the National Qualifiers.
The world-class golfers participating in the “Honda LPGA Thailand 2026” include Angel Yin, the defending champion from the United States and ranked 13th in the world, who will be returning to defend her title; Lydia Ko, ranked 6th in the world from New Zealand; Ruo Ning Yin, ranked 7th in the world from the People’s Republic of China; Lottie Houd, the rising star ranked 8th from England; Kim Hyo-joo, ranked 9th in the world from South Korea; Maya Stark, ranked 15th in the world from Sweden; Hannah Green, ranked 19th from Australia; and Celine Boutier, ranked 21st in the world from France. Japanese golfers who had an outstanding season will also be competing. The field remains one to watch, led by Miyu Yamashita, world number 4, Rookie of the Year and Women’s Open major champion; Mao Saiko, world number 11 and Chevron Championship major champion; as well as Rio Takeda, world number 14, and Akie Iwai, world number 25 and runner-up at the Honda LPGA Thailand 2025.
