แซนดี้ลงแข่งขันด้วยรถหมายเลข 888 Audi R8 LMS Evo II ร่วมกับเพื่อนร่วมทีมชาวมาดากัสการ์ Iaro Razanokoto โดยทั้งคู่และทีม แสดงศักยภาพมีลุ้นแชมป์ตั้งแต่เริ่มการแข่งขัน หลังทำผลงานได้ดีในการทดสอบรถในวันพุธและพฤหัสบดี ก่อนเข้าสู่โปรแกรมอย่างเป็นทางการในวันศุกร์ ซึ่งรถหมายเลข 888 ทำเวลาอยู่แถวหน้าของตารางในทุกวันฝึกซ้อม
ในรอบควอลิฟายวันศุกร์ Iaro ลงทำหน้าที่ในรอบควอลิฟายแรก และทำผลงานยอดเยี่ยม คว้าอันดับที่ 3 ส่วนควอลิฟายที่ 2 เป็นหน้าที่ของแซนดี้ ที่กดเวลาต่อรอบสุดโหดคว้าโพลโพซิชันสำหรับการแข่งขันเรซ 2 ของ วันอาทิตย์
อย่างไรก็ตาม เรซแรกในวันเสาร์กลับเริ่มต้นไม่สวยสำหรับรถแข่งหมายเลข 888 เมื่อ Iaro ออกสตาร์ทเพียงไม่กี่วินาที ก็เกิดอุบัติเหตุในโค้งแรกกับคู่แข่ง ส่งผลให้รถทั้งสองคันหมุน และรถหมายเลข 888 ยางแตก แม้จะเจอปัญหา แต่ทีมยังสามารถกู้สถานการณ์ในช่วงเข้าพิตตามกฎ ก่อนส่งรถต่อให้แซนดี้ ซึ่งขับไล่ขึ้นมาจบอันดับที่ 5 ได้อย่างยอดเยี่ยม
ส่วนการแข่งขันเรซ 2 วันอาทิตย์ เดิมทีดูเหมือนจะเป็นโอกาสนัดล้างตาหลังคว้าโพลโพซิชัน แต่แซนดี้กลับถูกปรับกริดสตาร์ท เนื่องจากเหตุการณ์ในเรซแรก ทำให้รถ หมายเลข 888 ต้องออกสตาร์ท จากท้ายแถว แม้จะเสียเปรียบ แต่แซนดี้โชว์ฟอร์มสุดร้อนแรงในรอบแรก ไล่แซงคู่แข่งหลายคันจนขึ้นมาถึงอันดับที่ 2 ตั้งแต่จบรอบแรก ก่อนที่การแข่งขันจะกลายเป็นการต่อสู้อย่างดุเดือดของกลุ่มผู้นำ 3 คัน และในที่สุดแซนดี้ก็สามารถขึ้นไปเป็นผู้นำได้สำเร็จ
อย่างไรก็ตาม ความหวังในการคว้าชัยต้องจบลงอย่างน่าเสียดาย เมื่อรถ หมายเลข 888 ยางแตกขณะนำการแข่งขัน หลังกลับเข้าพิท รถยังประสบปัญหาต่อเนื่อง จนแซนดี้ จำเป็นต้องถอนตัวจากการแข่งขันในที่สุด
แซนดี้กล่าวหลังจบการแข่งขันว่า “แน่นอนว่านี่ไม่ใช่การเริ่มต้นฤดูกาล TSS ที่ดีที่สุด แม้เราจะมีความเร็วที่ดีมาก แต่เหมือนโชคไม่เข้าข้าง เราจะนำบทเรียนครั้งนี้ไปพัฒนา และหวังว่าจะกลับมาแข็งแกร่งอีกครั้งในสนามต่อไปที่บางแสน”
การแข่งขันสนามถัดไปของ Thailand Super Series 2026 จะจัดขึ้นที่สนามสตรีทเซอร์กิต จ.ชลบุรี ในช่วงสุดสัปดาห์แรกของเดือนกรกฎาคมนี้

Dramatic season opener for Sandy in TSS
Thai racing driver Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik endured a dramatic opening round of the 2026 Thailand Super Series campaign after showing front-running pace throughout the weekend in the GT3 class with B-Quik Absolute Racing.
Competing in the team’s #888 Audi R8 LMS Evo II alongside Madagascar’s Iaro Razanokoto, Stuvik and the B-Quik Absolute Racing squad immediately established themselves as contenders from the outset of the event. Following productive test sessions on Wednesday and Thursday prior to official proceedings beginning on Friday, the #888 Audi consistently featured at the top of the timesheets across all practice sessions.
Friday’s qualifying sessions further demonstrated the duo’s pace. Razanokoto took driving duties for Qualifying 1 and delivered an impressive performance to secure third position overall. In Qualifying 2, it was Stuvik’s turn behind the wheel, with the Thai driver producing a standout lap to claim Pole Position for Sunday’s Race 2.
Saturday’s opening race, however, brought early adversity for the #888 crew. Starting the race, Razanokoto became involved in an unfortunate Turn 1 incident with a competitor, resulting in both cars spinning and leaving the #888 Audi with a puncture. Despite the setback, the team managed to recover during the mandatory pit stop window before handing the car over to Stuvik, who delivered a strong recovery drive to finish fifth overall.
Sunday’s Race 2 looked set to provide redemption after Stuvik’s pole-winning performance, but the Thai driver was instead handed a five-place grid penalty following the Race 1 incident, forcing the #888 to start from the back of the field. Undeterred, Stuvik produced a sensational opening lap, carving his way through the pack to climb into second position by the end of lap one.
The race soon developed into a thrilling battle among the leading trio, with Stuvik eventually taking the lead. Unfortunately, the team’s challenge for victory came to an abrupt end when the #888 suffered a puncture while leading the race. After returning to the pits, the car continued to encounter issues, ultimately forcing the team into retirement.
“Obviously not the best start to this TSS season, despite our strong pace we just seem to be at the wrong place at the wrong time,” said Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik. “We live and learn and we hope to be back for the next one at Bangsaen.”
The next round of the 2026 Thailand Super Series will take place at the iconic Bangsaen Grand Prix street circuit in Chon Buri during the first weekend of July.
