ประเด็นเรื่องการกำหนดอายุสูงสุดสำหรับคนขับรถรับจ้างผ่านแอปฯ ยังคงได้รับความสนใจจากทั้งคนขับและผู้โดยสาร Maxim ประเทศไทยเปิดเผยผลสำรวจล่าสุด ประจำเดือนนี้ ปี 2568 ซึ่งยืนยันว่าอาชีพคนขับรถรับจ้างผ่านแอปฯ เป็นโอกาสที่เปิดกว้างและเท่าเทียมสำหรับทุกช่วงวัย โดยไม่มีการกำหนดอายุสูงสุด ตราบใดที่ผู้สมัครมีคุณสมบัติตรงตามเกณฑ์ และมีสุขภาพที่แข็งแรงพร้อมให้บริการ
จากข้อมูลของ Maxim ประเทศไทย ปี 2568 พบว่ากลุ่มคนขับที่มีอายุมากกว่า 55 ปี คิดเป็น 7% ของจำนวนคนขับทั้งหมด ขณะเดียวกัน ผลสำรวจยังระบุว่า ในพื้นที่หาดใหญ่และขอนแก่น มีสัดส่วนคนขับพาร์ตเนอร์สูงวัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก รองลงมาคือกลุ่มอายุ 41–55 ปี ที่คิดเป็น 30.8% ขณะที่กลุ่มที่มีจำนวนมากที่สุดคือช่วงอายุ 31–40 ปี ซึ่งมีสัดส่วนอยู่ที่ 34.7%
คนขับสูงวัยในประเทศไทยที่มีอายุ 70 ปีขึ้นไป จำเป็นต้องต่ออายุใบอนุญาตขับขี่และเข้ารับการตรวจสุขภาพประจำปีตามข้อกำหนดของกรมการขนส่งทางบก (DLT) โดยจะต้องผ่านการตรวจสอบร่างกายเพื่อยืนยันว่าไม่มีโรคประจำตัวเรื้่อรังที่อาจก่อให้เกิดความเสี่ยงขณะขับขี่ สำหรับคนขับรถรับจ้างผ่านแอปฯ จะต้องมีใบอนุญาตขับขี่สาธารณะประเภทที่ 2 แม้ประเทศไทยยังไม่มีการกำหนดอายุสูงสุดสำหรับคนขับอย่างเป็นทางการ แต่ความปลอดภัยและความพร้อมทางร่างกายของทั้งคนขับและผู้โดยสารถือเป็นสิ่งสำคัญสูงสุด

Maxim Research: There Are No Age Restrictions For Working As a Ride-hailing Driver in Thailand, But Drivers Should Follow Rules
The question of a maximum age limit for ride-hailing drivers in Thailand remains a point of interest for both drivers and passengers. This month, Maxim Thailand revealed the results of an internal 2025 survey confirming that the ride-hailing profession offers open and equitable opportunities for people of all ages, with no set maximum age limit, provided applicants meet the required qualifications and maintain good health.
According to Maxim Thailand’s 2025 data, the oldest age group—drivers over 55 – accounts for 7% of all drivers. Moreover, the analysts mentioned that in Hat Yai and Khon Kaen there are mostly older partners. This is followed by the 41–55 age group at 30.8%, while the common proportion is among those aged 31–40, representing 34.7%.
Elderly drivers in Thailand aged 70 and above are required to renew their driving licenses and undergo annual health check-ups in accordance with the Department of Land Transport (DLT) regulations. They must pass medical examinations confirming the absence of chronic illnesses that could pose a risk while driving. Drivers working for ride-hailing applications must hold a public driver’s license Type 2. Although Thailand has not set a maximum age limit for drivers, the safety and physical fitness of both drivers and passengers remain the highest priority.
